The Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health is home to UBC’s Graduate Program in Neuroscience, which presents opportunities for graduate students (MSc/Ph.D.) and postdoctoral fellows to expand the breadth and depth of their knowledge through enriching research experiences in laboratories and clinical settings.

Undergraduate Program in Neuroscience

Beginning in 2022-2023, UBC’s Faculties of Science, Arts, and Medicine will offer an Undergraduate Program in Neuroscience at the UBC Vancouver Campus. This new BSc specialization brings together research and teaching expertise spanning three faculties and multiple departments to offer a unique interdisciplinary approach to neuroscience.

BC Brain Wellness Program

The BC Brain Wellness Program is a unique and interactive program establishing clinically relevant lifestyle approaches to complement medical treatment in the clinics at the Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health. By combining traditional clinical care with interventions that support healthier lifestyles, the program’s goal is to improve and sustain the quality of life and function for people living with brain disorders and their care partners, while pursuing rigorous research into lifestyle interventions for brain health.

The Dynamic Brain Circuits Cluster

The Dynamic Brain Circuits and Connections in Health and Disease research cluster bring together diverse scientists and accelerate their insights into brain circuit function by creating a strong, equitable and inclusive research environment. The cluster provides access for all to infrastructure, technology and training that embraces modern data-driven methodologies.
